Lithuanian Scouts - Journal 8/17

Today we had to build a swing set out of nothing but logs and rope. We had done it last year, so we felt up to the challenge, granted we had a few less people. We broke up into teams in order to finish faster. Tauras, Vytas and Aric build one tripod, while Tomas, Rytas and Dainius built the other. Saulius and I worked on lashing the seat together. We soon realized that it was going to be much harder this year because we didn't get as good a selection of sticks. The heat didn't make things easier for us either. We spent most of the day, but we managed to get it built and standing. We tested it on ourselves and it seemed to hold up, so we thought it would hold up all the little kids just fine. We finished lashing it down and called it a day. At the seemingly daily night-time meeting, Ginty and Sim said we were much louder today and that we should do that everyday.
